Building on insights from the EEA report on Governance in Complexity, this webinar organized by the European Environment Agency explores the issue of sustainability governance by focusing on emerging practices of systemic risk assessment and responses. It will benefit from the insights provided by the recently established Accelerator for Systemic Risk Assessment initiative (ASRA), the findings and recommendations of the first European Climate Risk Assessment (EUCRA), and the experience of the Policy Lab of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission in strategic foresight, emerging risks, and sustainability governance.

The online event will be held on April 1st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM, and it will be moderated by Catherine Ganzleben and Lorenzo Benini (EEA), featuring two presentations and a panel discussion.

Panelists will include: Ruth Richardson (Executive Director of the Accelerator for Systemic Risk Assessment (ASRA), UN Foundation), Hans-Martin Fussel (EEA) and Laurent Bontoux (Senior foresight expert at the Policy Lab, Joint Research Centre of the European Commission).
