The PIISA project, in collaboration with NATURANCE, produced a comprehensive summary that highlights the essential role of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) in climate change adaptation. The info card illustrates how NbS can mitigate flood risks, enhance urban resilience, and preserve forest ecosystems. It also provides concrete examples of applications, primarily in Europe but also globally, exploring development opportunities and analyzing the critical factors that limit the adoption of NbS in disaster risk reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA). An additional value of the document lies in its analysis of the financial feasibility of these solutions and the future prospects for their implementation.
