This report by Eklipse analyses the capacity of nature-based solutions (NbS) and empowerment tools (ET) to support the resilience of coastal communities. It summarises the current state of evidence on the role of NbS and community ET in addressing coastal challenges such as climate change in Europe. Finally, it provides examples of concrete practices and solutions to promote direct engagement of coastal communities in planning future coastal NbS and Living Lab projects in Europe and around the world.
